Question E-Brake Question

I searched and didn't really see what I needed.
I just tighted the e-brake nut that is up under the center console trying to tighten the handle up a little bit. Is there a way to tell if I over-tightened it? My e-brake only takes about to clicks now and it's got a good hold. Thanks in advance.

You are a bit too tight.

Here is what the technical manual say:

When parking brake lever is operated with a force of 196 N (20 kg, 44 lb), check that the stroke is within
the specified number of notches. (Check it by listening and counting the ratchet clicks.)

Lever stroke : 6 to 7 notches
