Enthusiest Track brake comparison
The brakes on my car are pretty good, how much better are the brembos really, would i be just as good or better if i were to do slotted rotors, racing pads, and lines, with some good fluid, any sugestions or feedback would be great.
Unless you track the car or make repeat stops from speed with no time for cooling the difference is negligable. Bigger brakes are mainly about heat rejection, street use for most people won't get near the fade point of the standard brakes.
Check out this great article on brakes...

As you can see, the stopping difference between regular (Performance) and Brembos is negligible.
As jungle pointed out, heat disappation is the advantage to a BBK.

It’s now common knowledge that the weak point of the non-Brembo brake system, when used on the track, are the rear brakes. People eat through rear pads within on HPDE event. This would point to a 4 wheel BBK to make sure the Base Z is “trackable”.
A Stop Tech 13” 4 wheels kit starts around 4,200$
Then we need an LSD. The Track model’s viscous unit is not the best, but it’s assisted by the ABLS system. So an other 1,000$ for a NISMO unit plus around 500$ for the install.
So right of the bat, that’s 5,700$ to be pretty much on par to a Track model.
We haven’t looked at wheels yet, but many people will change wheels on any trim level.
Base MSRP is 27,650 $ plus 5,700 that’s 33,350$
Track MSRP is 34,550$ Barely more than one grand difference.
IMO, if you’re building a full race car the Base trim is the one to get. If the car will be a daily driver/week-end lapper, things aren’t as simple.
do you think fluid lines, slotted rotors, and pads would take care of some of the fade, i stop from 140-150 alot, but not usualy over and over, THe kit im refering to can be found on jcs speed and its made by stoptech, its slotted rotors, pads, fluid, and stainless lines.

Make sure you have plenty of pad material front and rear for these events, and have fun.
You don’t need anything more.

I say get a performance and upgrde the brakes.
Don't forget that you have to pay Nissan to take all the other luxuries if you want a proper track car
No bose, no subwoofer, etc etc
I have a track model, but I bought it to track it. The VDC INCREASES my autox lap times by about a second. Not sure what the diff is doing as I have not raced a non track version.
If I could do it all over I would have gotten the cheapest base model I could find and add the goodies myself
I do love the Brembos though. Raced this Sunday for four hours and the brakes where as good on the first lap as the last!!
