^^ I think you can do it that way. Just remove the 3 nuts securing the shock to the shock tower do so you can pull the one bolt out that attaches the A-arm. Just let the shock drop a little and move it over to the side. I've done that to a Z.

You may also be able to simply pull down the rubber strut boot without loosening the strut, but I'm not sure how easy it is to get the boot back in place. That will give you the clearance to remove the A-arm bolt.

how do i remove the OEM conical bushings from the old a-arm? they just spin with the bolt
also, i forgot to line mine up with the stock ones when i pulled them off how do i tell if they are on the right side when installed on the car?

I used a pulley to remove the cone.

The arms angled towards the rear of the car.

clamp of sorts that grabs the cone in the flat part and use a diff screw type shaft to put pressure on the ball joint screw to pull the cone off.

do you think its do-able with hand tools? i can get new bushings for 8$ a pop
