JIC or HKS
I got my mind off Tein Flex now, iv shifted to HKS hypermax RS. And JIC Fla-2. What would you recomend for spirtited street driving, alot of autocross, and some track in the future. I eventualy want to track alot. Comfort is a non issue. any sugenstions.
I like both. You can't really go wrong with those choices. Although I think the only thing that the HKS has over the JIC is that HKS USA can rebuild them if you have a prob whereas I don't think JIC has any facility to do this here in the states.
JIC is located in Downey, CA and they can rebuild your shocks for you. I just bought the A2's a recently, and the handling is awesome, and the ride is really stiff even on full soft, but no complaints here. With the HKS, there is more range between full soft and full stiff.

I have the RS's and use them for the exact purposes you describe.
Mostly for the street, occasional auto-x and more importantly I track it about
4-5 weekends a year. The street comfort is great, especially at high cruising speeds and even on stiffer settings it's very livable. It feels like stock ride quality but with firmer dampening.
The track abilities are also very good for a streetable coilover, no issues at all and would purchase them again if I had to.
I also did my research before buying and to me it seemed that HKS actually did some real world testing with them before releasing them and I think it paid off. They marketed it as a US spec coilover due to our rougher roads and I also liked their spring rates. Also, very easy to adjust and the parts still look great when changing wheels.

I have the JIC's and think they're completley streetable - I have them set 2-3 clicks from full soft for the street and don't have any problems...I'm also lowered around 2.5" which has given me a good amount of negative camber (I'm in the process of getting camber arms) - at the beginning, the car felt a bit twitchy, but after a few weeks it feels normal to me. I ended up drilling 2 really small holes in the rear strut (only through the metal, not plastic) so that I could adjust the dampening.
I've done a few autoX's and they've performed well.
*There is more noise with these, but from what I've read, just about all coilovers are going to be noisier than OE.

I'm not a JIC fan mostly becuase of their poor customer service I know they had in the past, but they might of fixed them. Not sure. I have also heard z owners with JIC's talk badly about them at the track and mostly complaing of poor valving with the struts.
As for price, Z1 has a very good one, plus they are close to you.
