homemade SS lines, anyone?
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone here has ever done homemade SS lines. I'm seriously considering doing this and was hoping for some help of advice. I recently did the softline for our universities FSAE (formula sae, here are pics to show our car http://fsae.berkeley.edu/picarchive.html) team), and so I kinda know what to do. I just don't know what exact assemblies i'd need and mounting hardware.
Lastly, I'm looking at the prices, they are around 150 for new goodridges or stoptechs? That does seem a bit steep considering we only spent about 50 bucks for everything on our car, but is it worth it just to buy a name brand out there now? Thanks you guys

I Have made SS lines for my racecar. Its not that difficult to do, and you can get some pre made pieces from your local performance shop. P.S. I made the brake lines cause one of the ones i bought blew up

exactly. you should never mess around with anything home made when it comes to important safety equipment, especially the brakes.
