Is Eibach the answer to reduce the bounce?
As the topic stated, is it worth the money to get Eibach to reduce the bounce on the car? It doesn't cost much and it also gives the look. What do you guys think? To Eibach or not to Eibach?
here are my thoughts... and why i went full coil-overs...
the problem with the Z is the struts... they are valved too soft
when you put lowering springs on your car, all you are doing is shortening the piston travel of the strut. this means the strut cannot travel its "normal" distance to dampen the suspension movement, as some of this travel has been taken away.
to counteract this, spring makers give stiffer springs than stock. this will basically stop the strut from compressing too far, as the spring is pushing in the opposite direction (and harder now)..
lowering springs do NOT affect on the dampening ability of the suspension (which the strut does). you basically just made a stiffer, shorter oscillation... but it will still oscillate cause the dampening is crap on the stock struts.
the best bet (besides the Nismo S-tune kit, or one of many coil-over kits) is to wait for someone to match a high quality strut to go with the eibach springs...
i now have to replace my bro's rear strut on his 3.5 altima, after he had put on eibachs a couple months back... the strut is blown, and squeeks like crazy. needless to say, the eibachs are going back in the garage until h can find decent struts to match up with them...

I'm not going to get to excited about the TSB on the OEM springs just yet. I'll have to see it in writing!.
More to the point, I rode in Marcus' (aka TXSTYLE) car today who he had the Eibach springs put on his car last Friday 3/21. We rode for an extended period, with some very spirited moments of acceleration and manuvering not to mention a steady high rate of speed! Let me just say that the Eibach springs are the answer to the bouncy ride! There is a world of difference in the ride quality of his car and mine (without Eibachs). After riding in his car it's a no brainer... and cheap to! My favorite kind of mod... cheap!
