Default spring installation (rubber mount)

Guys,

I have done a few but this never came across until I did it last night with myfriend.

Does the rubber piece that contacts with the spring made its own mold? In previous installs, I was able to put the springs on exact the same mold (groove), but when we did the install last night, it won't be perfect.

My friend say you can bascially have it sit anywhere and that it will make its own mold .

Mine wasn't perfect but it close to about 95%. I think as long as you seat it right to the actual suspension components that the mold itself would have to seat to the rubber as it's own mold.

This is what I saw when I did mine. Maybe someone else can enlighten us. For I am no expert.
