Default Cusco Strut Bar -- Looks over funtionality?

I just got in my Cusco Strut Bar and of course it looks great. What I'm concerned about if it's any better then the stock strut bar? The Cusco Strut Bar seems to flex with some effort, as the stock bar won't even flex at all.

I don't think it's too big of a deal, but buying a aftermarket strut bar one would think it would be just as good if not better.

Are the Greddy and JIC strut bars also flexible? Anyone else concerned about the strength of the Cusco Strut Bars, especially under heavy tracking?

you can run without the strut brace and you would be hard pressed to notice a difference on a nearly stock car - the chassis of the car itself is quite stiff

you can also move the stock one too if you step on it - it bends

any of the aftermarket ones are stylistic mods

Id go with the cusco over the stock any day.. I picked up the stock strut bar and my arm almost broke off at the bone(heavy).. jk
Cusco is mainly going to cut off weight and add looks over the stocker..

The weight difference between the two are very noticable. Although the stock strut bar feels more solid.

I had one & miss it since I had to go back to stock struts since the TN. Did not notice any difference in performance though. It was more for looks.

Holy crap, your engine bay is awesome. May I ask where you got the washer fluid/etc caps, covers? Thanks!

Any bar that has flexible joints will definitely be worse than stock.

I'm missing something here, what does a TN kit have to do with struts?

I have a 5/16 plenum spacer in combination with the TN. The black pipe square flange was hitting the Cusco strut as it was wider than the stock strut.

I got the blue hose kits from:

IMO nothing beats the stock bar. I don't even think it's all that ugly and it has the best price of any aftermarket strut bar - basically no additional cost

IMO the only strut bar worth possibly considering over stock is the SPL bar that isn't out yet

FYI for those that may not know, the stock strut bar has been filled with polyethylene to increase its rigidity.
