Default How to install aftermarket springs?

I am planning to drop in the Eibach Pro-kit springs for my Z, and from the look of it, it shouldn't be too hard. Has anyone installed them with just floor jack? do I need spring compressor?

Any tips or comments are welcome.

thanks!

I haven't done the Z yet, but have lowered several other cars. Spring compressors are nice, but not always necessary. Usually they are only needed for removal of the stock springs, as the new ones are shorter, and on every other car I have done, they fit right in without compressing. You could do the rear springs defnitely with a floor jack, and ,although I've never tried it, you could use a thick leather belt in place of a spring compressor tosecure the springs so they don't expand when removing them.

Yes you need a spring compressor to remove the fronts... On a lift with power tools it took me 1.5 hours fron start to finish to do the whole thing.....
