Anyone have any experience with them? I was heavily leaning towards the TEIN Comfort Sports with the EDFC, because I am looking to have the stock smoothness of my (sport suspension) G when my wife is riding with me, but tighten it up when it is just me. The TEIN Flex's were too stiff; the CS seemed to fit just right.

However, now that Tanabe has what looks like a better system, I am trying to get a feel for what the Sustec Pro Sevens are like, but I haven't been able to find any answers.

Their website is located here but you can't really trust a companys own site. Anyone have any experience with the Pro Sevens, or Tanabe in general?

The TEAS has a number of features and looks more adjustable than the EDFC. Also, I have heard that Tanabe quality is better than TEIN, which is why I am trying to find out more about the Tanabe's.

Did you ever find any user reviews of this setup? After the last track day, I am really wanting to pick up a set of coil-overs so that I can get rid of some of this terminal understeer.

I'm also anxious to see some reviews from guys on this forum who have installed the Tanabe Pro Seven system.

I was considering the Tein Monoflex, but just learned about the Tanabe Pro Seven this weekend from Han, the owner of Intense Motorsports.

He said that the Tanabe is more high end and offers an active mode on their TEAS versus Tein's EDFC unit, which does not. I researched it on Tanabe's website, and essentially the active mode increases stiffness automatically as speed increases. It definitely sounds promising and looks like some good sh@%!!!

 

I am also very interested on this setup for my Z, and could not find any independent reviews... I found one little article where someone had a nice experience with an Evo install:

I have the Tanabe Five's with the TEAS box. I really like the set-up. Very responsive with a firm but not harsh ride. I got the Five's over the Seven's because the Seven's were to harsh for NYC street.

 

Gotta couple questions for you ... Do you have any pics of your install? And does the rear setup on the Pro FIVE have the spring located at the stock location on the midlink, or on the damper?

 

^^ Never really paid attention. The car is under wraps so I'll have to unwrap her to take pics. I'll post in a few days.

 

A local, Drewer, has them on his G35. Haven't ridden in the car, but the TEAS control unit is very nice. More features than the EDFC I have.

 

We sold a set to a customer who switched from Flex's and he said the ride wasn't even comparable. I'll point him to this thread in hopes of him getting a review, but from what he told me they are SICK

 

I have the pro sven and they are very nice. like you mentioned the quailty is great. The strut itself is made by kyb wich specializes in that specific area and and its 100%made in japan the quailty will speak for itself I've had them on the car for a little less than 1yr the y fu@ckn bad *** that should sum it up. dinner with lady are great and cyn carving is like a dream I also have 4 point brace which some people don't like because its to low to ground let me tell you guys some this car not made to off road. I am planing to upgrade to 12k more serious driving. If anyone in here needs a set give A Spec a call and ask for logan 626 618-1100 for a great price on these 2 items. I would not buy anything else as far as suspension.
