Damn my post got lost when the board went down. Let me try this again:
If I was going to spend anything close to $5,000 my first choice in suspension would be the Ohlins setup. For the money there is nothing better. And its only $2790: http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ng&prodid=2155
If you are set on having external resevoirs the KW Variant 3 has them and they are also some amazing units. They are even cheaper at $1890: http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ng&prodid=2046
Aside from those two units I have some personal experience with the HKS RS setup and the Bilstein PSS9 setup. I have the HKS setup on my car and have driven the Nissan Performance Mag 350Z with the Bilstein set up a few times. So far I have to say I am incredibly impressed with the Bilstein stuff. Much more so then my HKS setup. Had I not gotten such a good deal on mine I would have bought the Bilsteins: http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ng&prodid=1180
At $1689 these are a bargin. Here's a good article on the Bilstein setup http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/april06/350z_turbo/
