I just got in from doing the spring seat mod to the drivers side of my car. To start of I slipped and skinned my middle finger take the spring arm bolt off. Then putting it back together I slipped and my thumbnail hit the aluminum subframe edge putting a split all the way through and halfway down my nail. Then I let the damn car down off the jack stands and the thing is sitting 1/4" higher than it was before I cut the spring seat. I got back under the car and the top and bottom spring seats are sitting flush. I think it's god's way of saying "Don't level your car up."

Open your trunk, and sit on the ledge and bounce bounce up and down for it to settle the springs. Its common for all springs to need a little bit of time to resettle after you uncompress them. As for the bad luck with the rear spring install, maybe you should leave it to the pros, the rear is one of the easiest things to take apart, and shouldn't take more than 10 mins per side
