How so besides from a height adjustment point of view? I have found no substantial evidence that shows coilovers to be better than a good shock/spring combo from a performance perspective. Please explain.

Just get springs and struts unless you plan to race or be very competitive in the upper autocross classes.

Check out the thread I started on the very same idea. I did some research and got some input, nearly everyone said that coilovers are NOT worth it if your just an occasional track person.

Go on.. click the link.

Editted and fixed. Thanks JDM

Uh did you mean are not worth or worth it? I was in that thread too and most people who responded including Gsedan35, which seems to be the most knowledgeable at this subject, suggested struts and springs.

If you lower your car just a little you shouldn't have to worry about any camber issues. But if you go lower than a 1" drop I think you might.

If you don't know what you want, start with springs...it's WAY cheaper. Look in the Marketplace here and find some used ones. I've got the Hotchkis springs and the drop (front 1/2", rear 3/4") is quite mild, doesn't really effect ride quality, and helps body roll a bit.

Just don't slam the car way down without researching rolling your fenders, camber, etc.. The less of a drop you do, the less involved things get.

No one can tell you one way or another because you haven't spelled out what you want out of the car once the parts have been installed.

Lowering does effect alignment settings, in addition to the above, define how important that is to you.
