Default Tein S-Tech Lowering

This is possibly in the wrong section but:

I looked at three different vendors for the Tein S-Tech Lowering springs for my z. the first said it would lower the car by .6 inches. the second said approximately 1.5 inches of drop. the third said some other number.

does anyone have S-tech springs or know how much they will actually lower a Z?

+1...I, too am confused about Tein's claims. In pictures, it looks like it lowers atleast 1.5" yet they claim something like 0.6 in the front and 0.3 in the rear, then most advertisments will say that it "lowers the vehicle 1.5"?"

I'm pretty sure the accurate numbers are .6 in front and .7 in back. I'm thinking about a set myself. It's pretty subtle.

Just as curious. I've gone to hear is a 1'' drop. I am going to purchase some soon after I decide if I want to keep my axle back or not.

The pics I've seen online do not look anywhere near "conservative." Actually the pics I've seen of Eibachs (1" drop all around) look much more conservative. Here's a pic I just found of a 350 on S-tecs:

ya but the reason why that may look so aggressive is cuz hes probably sittin on 19s or 20s. im 18's so the wheels will look smaller in the wells and have more room.

Actual Drop is .8 R & .6 F. I measured. These are 19''. I don't rub on speed bumps or anything.

at full adjustment you will barely be into negative camber. Adjustment is pretty close to factory spec. It's at the limits of factory spec.

After the fact, I wish I had bought the Tanabe GFs instead of the stechs. Oh well.

b/c they are lower and have a lower spring rate. Seems like a win win for a street car

i just put the stech on my car not too long ago. the drop is desent and it closed up the wheel gap. my cambers in the rears are -2.2 and -2.3 and the guy who did the alignment told me it's been maxed out.

I had the tein S-tech springs installed about 3 years ago and I believe these numbers are correct.
I took the Z to a performance alignment shop afterward and they were able to get everything very close to spec. I haven't had any trouble at all with the camber.
IMO, the drop looks great. Did away with the annoying wheel gap.

I measured the gap before i switched with a caliper and then 3 months after to give a good estimate. I ended up with .8 R and .6 F.

Im running them on stockers. Its a good drop for a stock looking Z, .7 front, .6 back.

I had Tein S Tech springs on my '06. The drop is actually more in the front than the back, approximately 3/4" in front & 1/2" in rear. It gives your Z a more aggressive stance with the front slightly more lowered. If you'd like to see pictures of my Z with the Tein S Tech springs, just click on my signature block below.

NOTE: I just recently changed my springs to the Espelir Active GT springs since it has a higher spring rate for auto-x.
