Don't confuse marketing companies [and their doubling or tripling or quadrupling of price markups] with actual manufacturers of pads.

Don't confuse the packaging [box] and printer with manufacturer.

Most manufacturers wholesale pads for $10 to <$15 per 4 pads.

Research: Wellman Products Group of Ohio..... marketed as HAWK

http://www.ameca.org/guides/2007%20S...20Material.pdf

The above 90 page listings show the 5 digit manfacturers code and 6 digit exact friction code for friction material.

This is how insurance investigators can prove you modified brakes from oem specifications! Negligently maintaining your vehicle contributing to the accident that killed/injured the client with WILLFUL disregard for safety.

The friction codes prove that the cold stopping ability might not conform to oem designs...........lab test prove that the defendent choice was negligent...................etc etc never have a lethal accident or you will get first hand experience.

If you read the codes on the pads and reference the pdf you will find the answer............that more than one company makes Nismo pads depending on compound.

The question is who makes the Ferodo marketing brand most marketeers don't have a factory.............cheaper to just rebrand someone elses compounds copy rather than develop

Federal Mogul owns the Ferodo Brand
Federal-Mogul Corporation Wuhan, Friction
Joint Venture with China Hubei General Friction and Sealing Materials
Address: QinYe Road35#
Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone
City: Wuhan
State/Province Country Sub: Hubei
Country: China
Zip/Postal Code: 430056
Phone Number: 86 27-84892166
Fax Number: 86 27-84892176

I think the Nismo is a better performing pad all-around, but will cost more than the HPS.
