Brake Job HELP PLEASE!! Before it rains!
Hey fellas.
I'm upgrading my brake rotors to drilled/slotted. I'm stuck trying to remove the caliper bolts. These suckers will not budge. I'll list what I have tried and maybe you guys could tell me what I have missed. I had no problem removing the smaller bolts that you remove to change your brake pads. The bigger bolts that you have to remove to remove the rotor are the tough ones.
Wrench with hammer to bang it loose
Wrench with pipe on the end
Impact wrench (air)
WD40 and Aerokol metal bolt spray
I'm halfway mechanically inclined so any help would be great.
Thanks guys!

I'm turning clockwise to remove the bolt. Did you have a tough time breaking them loose with the sledge? I think I may invest in a good wrench. I can get a good angle on the front wheels but I'm a bit worried about having th proper room for the rear wheels. Any tips? Thanks for the response.
The two bolts in the rear of the calliper can be hell. If memory serves me the torque is 100 plus pounds.
I used Liquid Wrench, and let it penetrate for 20 minutes. The solvent works well if you tap the bolt lightly just to get it to vibrate.
A socket and 24-inch breaker bar worked well.

Rear brakes have ( 2) 19mm, used a socket Wrench , with WD40, a rubber mallet to hit end of socket without stripping bolts . Also Be sure to leave emergency brake off or rear rotors will hang up while trying to taking off , and then use large clamp or small wood vice to spread brake calipers ,also tie the calipers up so they don't fall or damage thebrake hoses ,,Rubber mallet and small breaker bar to remove old rotors ..
Only problem, I had a rub on the right rear rotor and found that one of the parking brake assembly "lower" spring came loose ,fix it and Work Great now ..
Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosy. They HAVE to come if you are in fact half way Mechanically Inclinded.. Do you have a certificate that you got at this Half Way House for Mechanical Inclination ????
