Default JDM Tein Mono Flex vs USDM Tein Mono Flex ?

I found that the spring rates differ between the two sets..

Japanese set comes with 10kg front, 9kg rear springs

US set comes with 14kg front and rear

Now that is some serious difference in spring rates.. and I doubt the shocks would be same.

Anyone got more info on this one?

Japanese website shows the dampring rate and etc in a installation manual but US website doesnt have any infomation as such..

if the roads were better (which they are) they could use a stiffer spring, so that can't be the reason...

and 14kg front and rear seems high...

Are you sure you didn't get that reversed? Japanese coilovers are usually oversprung, aren't they?

They are full of **** then, and stating it to help forward some lame advertising campaign so manufacturers can say "designed for US roads"

I've been to Japan, driven in Japan and been driven in Japan. There are good roads, and there are bad roads...just as there are in NJ, NY, Cali, Florida etc. They have 4 seasons in Japan, just like in most of the US, and believe me, they don't have any magic road grading equipment or special JDM concrete/asphalt.

edited because I can't spell
