Default fitting 17" wheels over Wilwood BBK in the rear

Guys,

I have done all the searches I can think of... I am trying to find a set of rear 17" wheels that will fit over my Wilwood BBK. My OEM 17"s would not bolt on by about a 1/4". I am trying to fit 17's on there so I can run a ET Street drag tire when I go to the strip.

Has anyone had success with doing this? I could care less what the wheels look like... I would only use these are the drag strip anyway.

Thanks!

It depends on the rotor diameter. I have 13.6" diameter rotors with four pot Wilwood calipers in the rear and I run 17" wheels. That is the limit. 14" will not fit.

I have the 4 pot wilwoods in the rear... Not sure if they are the 13.6" or the 14" rotors. I did not know they offered a differnet size for the rear.... I will have to check on that.

What 17" wheels are you running?

If it is the width of the caliper that won't allow fittment, you could always use small wheel spacers. If it's the diameter that won't fit, you'll have to find another rim. Good luck with the 17's.

MB Motorspotrs 17x9 with +27 offset. They are $120ea. Great price for a 20 lb wheel.

Factory Wilwood rear ktis are 13" diameter and offer ample caliper clearance for any 17" wheel.

Aftermarket kits using Wilwood parts can range from 13 to 13.6" and may or may not fit the wheel. The issue is not so much diameter but rather the choice of caliper in use. The factory kit uses a DynaPro caliper for clearance and some of the other kits the FSL caliper which takes up a lot more space.
