The Nissan Dealership wants $841 to change my brake pads
$116 + $260 for labor for my rear brakes
$204 + $260 for labor for my front brakes
Thats a total of $841 to change the brake pads. Obviously I'm not going to go to them to have them changed, because its a freaking ripoff.
They say the OEM Brembo fronts will cost $204 and rears will cost $116. My question is, is there a place where I can get the pads for cheaper than the price they are giving me, or are they just screwing me on labor?

Something isn't right. At $80/hr, they're quoting 6½ hours to replace pads. It should take less than 1 hour (2 tops) to replace all 4 pads, even on a Brembo. Ask them to show you the shop rate book that says it takes 6+ hours to change pads.
Unless you go to a place like Autozone or Pepboys, decent pads for the Z are going to cost you that much if not more. Dealerships are the most expensive places for parts. If you insist on them doing it, that's the price you'll have to pay.

did it my self, EBC rotors and Red stuff pads, only because i just didnt like the lime green ones....and was able to get it done for 500 cdn. i have the brembo kit...and i didnt find it hard at all 2 bolts and 2 pins simple.....

Thats BS! I actually talked to the dealer that I get work done at, and they quoted me for a total labor of $150. Pretty good deal if you ask me, although I did it myself.

If I were in the bay area I'd change 'em for some beer money and a black 'n mild. On the serious side, a trained chimpanzee could change break pads given the right tools and enough time. And, on the upside, you could buy the right tools, better pads and probably miss the time from work it takes to do them for about 1/2 of what the dealership is looking for (depending on how much you make per hour that is).
