Default 2007 nismo Z suspension details

Posting here too 'cause no one reads the nismo z thread...

I got a flyer for the 07 Nismo z at the MSA meet. Finally figured out how to use my scanner so here you go...

This gives us some insight into the changes for the Nismo edition suspension. It does not say if damping changes are on the compression or rebound or both. I'll do a close-up of the car part of the pic. It's kinda hard to see here. I'd like to know the spring rates and types (linear, or progressive) of the normal 07 Z and the Nismo Z so we can try to reproduce them in the after-market. Someone buy one and donate it to the cause!

I think it's interesting that they did not upgrade the sways. That seems to be a popular mod...

I'm curious as to why they used damper bars in the front and rear instead of solid bars such as Honda did with the NSX-R.

Looks like the Z chassis didnt need underbody stiffners that aftermarket companies sell.

Good info. Thx.

I can't see the scan for some reason, but I'll [post anyway .

I thought the Nismo Z suspension would just be the Nismo suspension currently available (S-tune). These dampers are different (of course) than the stock 07 - which is what I thought they were referring to.

As far as not changing the sways, if I remember correctly the 06+ sways are almost identical to the Nismo S-tune sways in stiffness. See this thread: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....ght=nismo+sway

The body dampeners are also interesting.

From the articles I have seen so far the Nismo Z is getting the S Tune suspension including sway bars. The cars handling has been praised in all the reviews I have read. It is lowered but only a 1/2". I am anxious to read a full road test & comparision.

Default Dampers

I hope that we can install the front and rear dampers on the 2003-06.

That article has some discrepancies. It lists HP as 300bhp from the '06 revup engine, then lists an 8000 redline. It also lists the tires as RE040s, a tire the Z hasn't seen since MY2005.
