No the Nismo S-tune suspension isn't a coilover, but those that are recommending it are doing so in a thread where the original poster didn't say how much drop he was looking to get and most that install coilovers rarely take advantage of adjusting the height after the install anyhow. Plus, it's one of best liked system's running on the 350Z we have seen.

Nismo S-tune (twin tube construction, uses progressive springs)
350Z .8"/.8" drop
Spring rates 448/504

Eibach does make a coilover for the Z, well sort of. It's a relabeled KW varient1.

Eibach Pro street S coilovers
Drop range on 350Z 0.8 to 1.6" front same for the rear.
As per Eibach they are relabled KW variant 1 coilovers, springs are a different color simply because Eibach has them refinished red vs yellow.
Spring rates Front 485lbs to 525Lbs Rear: 240Lbs to 548Lbs (progressive springs)
Notes: High progressive rear spring rate spread that cannot be easily fixed because of the mounting diameters of the upper and lower spring seats in the height adjusting system. It still can be fixed, but would require a lot of phone calls and research that most won’t bother with, IMO it’s worth the bother.

Based on what you want I would consider if your needs would be met by the S-tune setup. Most cheap coilovers may spec well on paper, but let you down when seen from a shock dynamometer, point is that most are underdampned and or oversprung. IMO, pad your max price a bit and consider products in the $1500-$1600 range if a coilover is truley what you you have to have to meet your needs.

On the K-sports, I don't see how they can have the valving magic required to offer decent dynamics given how much spring rate that setup uses. 839lbs/504lbs
