Default Clicking When Braking

I have a 2006 GT and it seems like the Brembos are starting to act up after 11,000 miles - when pressing the brake, I can hear (and feel) a click, it then seems like there is quite a bit of travel before the brakes really start to click in. This normal or should I try to take it in? I cant stand the thought of dealing with the dealership on this one...

Thanks,

Mine has started to do this to. However I think its do to me being lazy and not switching out my track pads on the street.

do u brake hard often or track the car? 11,000 miles is not a bad time to replace the pads especially if your track the car or just drive pretty hard.

I will resurrect this thread since I am having the same type of issue with my Brembos on an 05. I start the car, rev a couple times, then drive off and brake and i can feel the brakes go lower than usual. I have 25K on the car and wondering if this is a dealer issue.

I ended up taking it to the dealership which resulted in the "couldn't find anything" speech. They did however try to tell me that it may help to replace my break pads after 11K miles.

I checked out another Z in the show room and found the clicking noise there as well - may just be normal?
