Default New rotors and pads with Pics

I just got done installing my new rotors with Hawk HPS pads. I took it out and followed hawks bed in procedure to the tee, my first question is, should I go through the bed in procedure again before I DD the car or is once enough? I have read other posts were people say that bedding in only needs to be done once and others say it is good to do it twice. But then again some also say to not follow the companys procedure but thats besides the point. And my other question is on the last picture(the 3rd one)the lower groove is smooth to the touch but lighter in color, is that just part of the bed in or is it because the pad is not seated correctly? Thanks for the help.
