Default project mu pads problem

Got my front project mu nu pads installed and my front rotors resurfaced but now they squeak worse than before at low braking speeds. If I kinda hold the brake pedal when coming to a slow stop it makes a weird hollow sound or something. Anybody got any suggestions? Should I try using some anti squeal stuff ?

Just seems to be the nature of the PMU pads. Did you bed in the rotors/pads correctly?

I'm sure you probably installed them correctly. The B-Force just seem to squeal more than others.

No I haven't yet but I will tonight. I just saw something wierd this morning while looking at my front pads.

1. driver side - 1 brake clip normal and other is not clipped in?
2. passenger side - 1 brake clip not clipped in and the other is missing.

Did the shop where I got my pads installed do a sloppy job?

Sounds like it. I wouldn't drive the car.

Contact the shop first and foremost. Then I would have it towed back there.

Looks like they did not install & bed the pads properly. Return it and have them fix the problem. And don't go back after they fix the problem. I have these same pads and never have any problems.

i installed b force pads myself with little squeaks during its life time.

i also bedded them in really good and completely wore them out in 6 track days. i've had no squeak problems with little dusting.

The squeaks are annoying but I am mainly just worried about the clips or maybe I'am just being paranoid.

You should be definitely worried if the clips are missing. You will have to bed the pads yourself as this is something a shop doesn't do normally.

for peace of mind....always change my own brake pads.
those spring loaded clips are tricky to install correctly sometimes.

it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes for each side if you got all the tools and brake cleaners ready. Takes longer if rotor replacement is involved. Nissan brakes are pretty straight forward unlike BMWs.

What does it mean to BED the break pads before you put them on?
