Default 2007 Z Brakes on a 2004 Z?

I have searched through the forums to find a tech bulletin or someone who has done this before but didnt come across anything.

I was thinking of grabbing a used set of 2007 brakes since they are 12.6 fronts 2 piston and 12.0 in the rear. It would be a decent upgrade. My question is besides rotors, lines, pads and calipers is there anything else needed to mount them up? And can it be done easily without major modifications?

THanks in advance for the input!

I had to weld the caliper to the rotor, but other than that it was cake... j/k.

the dust sheilds will need to be cut to fit the larger rotors, but you won't even need lines iirc, the stock ones fit fine, though you might want to get some SS lines.

they are a direct swap/

I (sadly) did not take direct 'before/after' pics.

I have some shots a while ago of my car I can post up, my camera is currently dead, but I'll charge it tonight (I just moved so I have ot unpack it) and take some after. I will tell you it is very noticeable in the front. the caliper is larger and looks more solid as well as the larger rotor. I have 19 inch TE37s so there are large gaps between the spokes so this helps fill it out much better.

I'll post them up this weekend if I find my powercord.

Do you know what the 07 G35 sport have? And I thought the 2005 G35 rwd and all 2006 G35 have the larger brakes too.

I read somewhere that in order to do this mod you also have to install the brake booster off the newer model also. Did you face that issues? Can you tell us how much the total swap cost? Thank you.

Cutting the dust shield is a PITA.
