Default little help needed~~

Some help is needed for my coilover, im new to this so please no flame..
I know theres 2 way to adjust the ride height (if im not wrong.?)
one is adjust the length from A ( pic below) which is the spring preload ????
sec. is to adjust from B ...
so the question is if i adjust the height by A spring preload , does it effect your spring rate ??? and does the length A has to be the same (2 front ) or the total length ( C ) on each shock is the same then thats good to go???
i dont know whow to explain but someone should get it ...
little help would great ....thx

Adjusting A also adjusts shock travel. Put just a bit of preload on A, same for both sides until you can have it corner weighted. This will give you maximum shock travel.

Adjust ride height ONLY with B.

preload= compressing the spring slightly

Preload affects different coilovers in different ways - if you have purely linear springs, spring rate should not change. But as mentioned, stroke (shock travel) will. If your coilover uses progressive springs, rate will change with preload too.

Generally (VERY generally) speaking, you want minimal preload (to preserve maximum shock travel), and do your big height adjustments (anything over 1/2 inch) with the lower bracket. Then save the preload adjustments for evening things out, cornerbalancing, etc etc
