I installed the TNS brake caliper heat shields before the track day at the mid-ohio race track. They worked pretty good. I didn't have any problems with my brake fluid boiling like I usually do.

i'm guessing it blocks the heat from the rotors?

looks like pad shims to me. A better option than OEM one...

I have noticed a dramatic difference between running with Pad shims and running without. Running with pad shims definitely prevents your brakes from going on fire!

What are these? How do they work? Where do I get them?

Sorry for not writing more. They stick to the back of the brake pad so the heat from the brake pad is blocked from going straight into the caliper. Normally the heat is transfered directly into the caliper since the caliper's pistons press against the back of the brake pad. They're very similar to shims except they aren't metalic and they don't transfer heat at all. I got them from TNS directly, their email is tnstuning@hotmail.com.

Here's a pic of them installed and after 3 track days of abuse.
