Default Does Eibach or NISMO S suspension eliminate bounce?

I am debating on getting either Eibach or NISMO S suspension and I would like to know from people that have installed them on their 350Z if it eliminated the bounce.

Mark me down the same. I am about to order the Eibach pro kit. Any info about why this may be a bad idea, please let me know quickly!

The Eibach springs were my first mod on my car and let me tell you that the understeer was almost instantly solved. The car still bounces a little under fast driving, but otherwise the springs improved the car's handling over stock and cornering is much better.

Of course, if you had to choose and you have the money now I would go with an entire suspension replacement and get the S-Tune Suspension setup.

I do not have the money on hand. I am just making sure that the Eibachs are best bang for buck and that they aren't liable to make my car scrape, etc.

IMO, it's the best upgrade so far! get rid of bounceness, fix understeer, looks great, what more can you ask with a $220 upgrade?

I got the Eibachs, have not scraped ANYTHING since, normal city driving, neighborhoods with speed bumps of all sizes, etc. This is with stock 18" Touring rims and tires.

The ONLY problem I have had is my floor jack is to high and won't go under it, so I had to lift it with the scissors to get the floor one under it. Don't expect this to be a regular issue.

The bounce is gone. I mean the bunny hop thing. The suspension is still as stiff and of course you get a bounce or two here and there, but nothing like it was.

Best $220 + $90 install I have spent on the car.

BTW, the Japtrix Y Pipe follows that as best bang for the buck. For $500 (about) got an great sound, great response, I am just having a blast with it, kept my cats and muffler stock so the car looks stock.

Next, Dyno day on June 1st to find out where I am...

Err....what's the Y-pipe doing? I was going to buy that new dual catback borla system after the Eibachs.

Long threads on the issue, and I don't want to divert this one. In short, the stock setup on the Z is more like an "I" pipe. The Y pipe runs from the cats to the stock muffler with a 3" SS pipe. I think more of it like a big "V" pipe and a shorter straight pipe with a resonator. Together they form a Y I guess...

Anyway, dynos show 8+ hps, which I can feel. Revs drop slower on shifts. Sound kicks in at about 4500 rpm. Very quiet. They are developing a muffler as well, but gains are minimal so far.

I got carried away with the best bang for the buck comment. Besides minial decorative changes, I have done the EIbachs and the Y pipe, and both of them are (to me) outstanding values.

I have a set of springs setting in my garage and still haven't figured out if I want to install them. Still have questions around: any warranty issues- will they void out anything?, shorten life of factory shocks?, issues with scraping the ground?, and then I got quoted at 350-400 to install them?...but then just say a 90 quote?

any help?

Mine were $90, plus a visit to check alignment. It is very straight forward, no "mysteries", just struts on the front and regular springs on the back. Any tire/suspension shop should be able to do it.

Warranty : on the eye of the beholder, read dealer. If there is a recall about springs, of course, you won't be in it. If there is a recall for the feathering, who knows, but you might not be affected. You won't get a definet yes or no on this.

I had mine on going on 3 weeks. Not a single scrap anywhere. Regular city driving, turnpike, been over speed bumps (several locations, several heights), no prob. I do have stock 18" rims and tires.

Shorten life of factory shocks : could be, but diff in life length might be minimal. I plan to switch the shoks to Eibachs as well when they come up, so I am not too worried either way.

i realize it's a different animal, but i had springs over my stock shocks in my civ. i put about 50k on em, and honda never said anything about my shocks. i would assume the z's shocks would b a little better, too.

the OEM struts/shocks is a big concern of mine too! I put a set of H&Rs springs on my 328Ci with OEM struts and after like 8k miles I had to replace two of them. I wondering if the same thing would happen to me again for the Z.

I honestly don't know if its good to compare to this or b/c being two different brands, two different cars, and a little bit lower of a drop in the springs. But the one think I just keep thinking about is the "aftermarket / lower springs matched to OEM struts". I would assume that the OEM struts are in some ways tuned / matched to the OEM springs...so what could one expect with completely separating that match and putting a totally different spring value and rates with them
