Post Base 350z on Skunk2 Lowering Springs: Write Up

So I bought some skunk2 lowering springs for my 2005 350z Base. Figured these would help in cornering, body roll, and i know its shallow, but looks also. I took the car to JC auto house in Temple City, CA. Cyrus the shop owner is the only man I trust with my 350z and Subaru WRX. After all was said and done the car is now lowered by 1.5" rear, and 1" front. Visually it looks awesome.

First Impression: Its low, just getting into the car feels different, my mirrors had to be adjusted. Just getting out of the parking lot required care with the speed bumps. Once on road I felt lower to the ground, I could feel more imperfections on the road. But overall ride quality was not bad compared to stock. For the record I am using stock shocks with 40K miles on it. Went over railroads didnt feel much of a difference over stock. Overall im happy with ride quality. Cant wait to have a nice busty passanger, for what i like to call the boob test. On stock spring/shock my Ex gf's ***** bounced alot. I may have to take her for a spin, see how much that has changed. im serious about this. The car now exhibits less body roll and more of a flat feel when I corner, Steering input also feels sharper.

Tech Stuff: Cyrus told me that the camber didnt change much. I dont have a camber kit and said the change over stock isnt that bad, of course when you do any suspension work the stock spec will be out of wack. This setup should exhibit more tire wear. He basically said try it out and if you dont like it, get a camber kit.

Im gonna head up to the local canyon roads and get a feel for this new set up. So once that is done ill be able to give you a more in depth review. and now you enjoy pix.

Id figure id post this for refrence, I couldnt find a review or pics of a 350z on Skunk2 springs.

+1 Nice mod but like every suspension set up, ride always feels good first two weeks. From there, it goes down hill. Literally. Skunk2 has some of the lowest springs out there on diff applications. Do another write up in a few months.

Those look too low in the rear, and you've taken away the rake of the car that gives you high speed stability. I'd be afraid of bottoming out in the rear with those springs! Front looks perfect though!

It is a tad low in the rear for my taste, and the camber in the rear is off, time to get a camber kit. It looks rice in my opinion but hey cant beat the performance, it corners great in the canyons.

Youre gonna be investing in a lot more than just a camber kit with those.
