Interesting stuff, I am running DS2500's (that you sold me ) on my AP bbk and am really pleased with them. Granted I do mostly street and autox driving now but once my turbo build is done I will be headed to the track more often and may need something a little more up to the task... Do they make the CCX's that would fit my AP 6 pot kit?

 

I've been running the DS2500's too for a little over a year with plenty autox's and daily driving with no problems. Why do you think the CCX's are better?

 

Just wanted to follow this up. I went with the CC-A's all around. No complaints whatsoever. After bedding them the bite is still pretty decent at lower temps(low 40's), no noise complaints at all. Low 40's maybe upper 30's is about as low as this car will see on the road, so I am comfortable that the pads will serve me just fine, despite the temp rating of the pads. I'm sure they will be better in the summer of course. I really can't comment about dust at this time, but that was never a concern of mine anyway.

 

Thanks for the update. I am looking to buy new pads myself and need just street pads. I just want an upgrade over OEM pads. I was ready to buy some Hawk's because I've always heard good things but now this is the first I've heard otherwise. Like I said - looking at just street but I do wet and it's the northeast so although no snow, I can get 30's weather.

Are the nismo pads really worth 2x the price of Hawk?

 

Nismo R-Tune pads hands down. I swear by them.
