I think everyone knows the car is a 350z, no reason to plaster it all over the car.

black is do-able......red is tacky

To have a sticker or to make it look like it's actually special or something? If you want ot paint it, paint it. But you are just bring more attention to a stock caliper. If you are buying bbk clearly for looks, you are just wasting money. Atleast make some type of use out of it. And no, i won't give you 2k, it seems if i give you a rattle can and couple of stickers, you would be quite happy with it.

How would you come to the conclusion that i'm on this site too much? I didn't random track events would take so much of my time that i can't post on this website. Nice assumption though. Seems like i'm on this site a lot because i'm a car salesman so i'm on the internet a lot at work.

I went w/ red. Although next spring I think I may go with black w/ white letters. The red fades fairly quickly and doesn't look nearly as good when first painted. I think you should paint the pads also. Makes the brakes look fuller than normal.

Yeah, I was thinking of having my brembos powder coated red, but then decided it would look like rice, so I left 'em gold...
And I especially wouldn't paint a 1-pot base caliper red... Looks beyond cheap. Leave that kind of rice to the honda guys.
Now if you had a set of Stoptechs, AP Racing, Endless, or Brembo GTs.... Now we're talking! :-)

Painted calipers just bring the above fact out to the public even more.
I know it's everyone has a different preference, but just because you can walk around the streets naked doesn't mean you should do it, right?
And it's not so much "poor taste" because of just painting the calipers, but it is "poor taste" to paint a crap-looking caliper. If the 350Z comes equipped with 300ZX-like brakes then that's fine.
Too many 350Z people runs 20" rims and when you look inside the rims, this is what happens:
People: "What's that ping-pong-ball thingy you have on your brake discs?"
You answer: "Uhhh...it's my stock brake calipers.."
People: "WTF...I didn't know ping-pong ***** come in red..."
