Default Need opinions on running different pads in the rear than the front..

I've never had this delimma posed upon me before because I usually purchase pads in full sets.

For fronts I'm currently running Axxis Ultimates on 4-Pot Stoptechs.

The rear 2-Pot Stoptech/BBK I'm planning on purchasing comes with Centrix pads.

I've personally haven't heard of Centrix pads.

I like the Axxis pads due to their low noise characteristics and the abillity to handle "aggressive street driving" if necessary. I do not need a track pad, as I do not track at all.

Any opinions or comments are appreciated...

I have never heard of Centrix either. As long as the pad compounds are similar I doubt you would have any issues. I currently have Axxis Ultimates on the front and Hawk HPS on the rear, no issues.

Provided they make a pad that fits the caliper, the Ultimates are usually pretty cheap if you wanted to just pick up a set to match.

I discussed the Centrix pad compostion briefly with the vendor. It appears the compound will be similar to the Axxis UTL's. If I have issues I'll probably do like you suggested and just pick up another rear set of pads.
