Default Stillen / AP Racing brakes

We just received the BBK for the Z. Red with black lettering. Stillen gave us a wonderful deal on them. I can't wait for them to be installed.

Here are a few pictures of them in the box.

Originally we were going to have the brakes installed first and then the interior work. Now we decided on a minor change to the interior that will not require the brakes to be installed first. So we may do the interior first and then the brakes. He is going to handle the details on that Friday while I go house hunting. Wish me luck.

Is this the 13.1 inch or 14.25 inch kit?

How much do you pay for the kit??

Was thinking of upgrading to these after this season is over...

TXS...

looks like the 13 inch kit to me.

I have the 14.25 inch AP setup up front and I believe it only comes with a 6 piston caliper. Could be wrong though.

They are killer brakes either way.

It's the 13" two piece, 4 piston kit. I am not going to state the price in a public forum. Stillen has been very nice to us in this and all our previous purchases.

Be Curious to see how these feel and work compared to OEM Brembos..

I know you can use these with 17 inch wheels which is nice..

Is this an upgrade from Brembos or Base brakes.

I heard braking is similiar but heat soak is much better and less fade.

Thanks...

We have 18" wheels. The car is an 06 touring roadster so no Brembos. Larry believes the car will stop quicker and definitely less fade.

He hopes a lot less brake dust as he spends countless hours cleaning the wheels each time the car is driven. He spent every evening one week cleaning the wheels with a toothbrush and various cleaners. Then he gave them 5 coats of wax. They shine.

I'm assuming they included the Ferodo DS2500 pads? I've been pretty happy with them even through lots of track and autox abuse.

The brakes were installed today. They are much better than the stock brakes. The guys that installed them said they were the nicest brake kit they have installed and they have installed a lot of brakes.

This is the one picture we took tonight in the garage.

What do you think?

Looks good. I want to get that size kit for my rears.

By the way, if you are indeed running the Ferodo DS2500 pads, expect evil dust
