Default Calipers only?!

Okay, I'm ready.

Okay, I've been on these boards long enough that I don't care if I open my mouth and prove my ignorance. I've done some searching, but my brain hurts now, so here goes:

For us cheap azz ricer-wannabe bazz-tards who don't wanna shell out 3k+ for a great brake kit, don't track our cars, but still wanna have a purdy colored caliper show up behind our wheels, is it possible to just buy a set of brake calipers and pads that will fit our stock rotors??

If not, then...well....okay, but if it is possible, what are the cons (other than being a cheap azz ricer-wannabe bazz-tard).

I may be cheap, but I'm not gonna paint my stock calipers. Well, maybe black, but only if I have to.

Discuss....

I don't think there is an option to replace just the stock calipers with upgraded ones. I know you can do the Stoptech Stage(something?) upgrade that upgrades the pads, fluid, and brake lines. Not sure there are upgraded calipers that will fit over factory rotors though. I could be wrong.

you could have the stock brakes powdercoated... or...

This

Lol dummy brake kit, they are plastic pieces that you put over your calipers. And yes, if you put this on, I will disown you.

And then they'd melt all over your stock calipers and **** up your brakes!

The answer to your question is: Nope.

However here is an inexpensive option for a BBK:
