Default just installed kbee coilovers

I've never had coilovers before, but they are sooo worth it. the Z handles quite a bit better and looks more aggressive with the lower stance. I'll post some picks as soon as exams are done. Thanks to the tech for the smooth transaction!

too soon to tell how they ride. Most coilovers/springs are smooth at first.

Nice to know someone got these installed. The Tech was selling them at a great price. Thanks for being the guinea pig.

so far so good, the ride is ok on moderate dampening. At first the car was really really low and i scraped on even the slightest incline so i had the alignment place raise her up, i have a moderate drop now. I don't scrape at all and the car looks and handles well. I'm satisfied with this large investment. I went with ichban front A arms and battle version rear lower tow arm. The front camber is 1.5 degrees, i don't remember the rear. Oh and for alignment i went to Bear Alignment in Glendora on Arrow Highway, I HIGHLY recommend these guys they adjusted the height on the front and did the alignment for $98. Ok i'll stop being lazy and post up some pics tomorrow

Thanks for the review, but this tells us (as consumers) nothing about these as a comparison to anything except stock suspension.
I hope to see a review done on these coilovers by someone that has atleast tried a couple, or a few different sets of coilovers in the past on their car and can offer a unbiased observation of this product. C'mon there has to be someone out there.........

I can also recommend Bear Alignment. This is the only place that I use.

Waiting for the pics.

This is a more than fair and unbiased review. Just cause he hasn't had ten different sets of suspension on his car doesn't mean he should be discredited for his review.

Why don't you buy a set and try them and you can give us your review?

My point is ...what does he have to compare these coilovers to??? He has never had any other coilover to use as a reference to make a judgment.

As for me buying these,.... I do not purchase the products (in this case coilovers) that I test, thus making me unbiased. The company will sometimes send them to me wanting them back after my assesment, etc.

By nature everyone wants to feel good about the things that they made the decision to buy, so as not to feel stupid about their decision or have buyers remorse over that decision, I see it ALL the time in FI kits (for example). Nobody wants to think that they made a poor decision on a particular product they purchased, thus they will defend it to the hilt even if they know deep down that they had wished they went a different route.

I am not saying that these are bad coilovers at all, just pointing out the facts. To get a accurate test, IMO it will take first, (idealey) someone with a pretty broad knowledge of the product that has no vested interest in the product (at the time atleast), and secondly, it should be atleast someone that has experienced / used a similer product before, I mean com'on.

I am not taking anything away from the OP at all, I am happy for him that he likes his coilovers, and he did his best to give his honest review.

But what if he did not like them by chance, what then? Would he be offered his money back on them after he installed them and has driven around on them for a while?? Not likely, but if so, than it is fair. I just do not feel that it is fair to sell, or to have someone pay (almost full price in this case) to be a guiney pig for a well founded coilover manufacturer.

So what was learned from this review? That the coilovers lowered the car, thus giving it a better handeling feel do to its lower center of gravity?? Wow, cool.

I just hope you all see my point, I just do not think that someone should pay a company to be a product tester. In most cases it is the other way around, why not in this case?

I think that you may be misunderstanding the situation with these coilovers. They are not being sold at this price so that the first few users are some sort of guinea pigs for the product. This is the first time that they have been brought to the US, that's all. The 240 guys have been using these and love them. We are just selling the few initial sets to kind of "wet the appetite" so to speak of the community with a newer product that will perform as well as other coilovers costing more money.

Ok, I understand that. Cool. But, how are you going to make the assesment/comparison of these vs. the more well known (pricier) coilovers that you are comparing these to?

The same way that Tein or any other company has. They bring their parts here and people buy them. Word gets out (good or bad) and that's how the company sells their product.

This makes more sense now, as long as they have been using these same coilovers somewhere (other than this country) than they should be just fine to sell over here. Still would be nice and IMO, important to get an unbiased comparison on the way these coilovers stack up/compare to the other more well known and more commonly used coilovers that we have here.

Sounds like a good product/deal. Close to the price of Tein S-techs and tokico d specs.

Pics of the actual units are on my for sale thread for them. When he posts his pics, you're pretty much gonna see a lowered car.
