If I may make a suggestion...

Recommending only 500 degree paint may be insufficient. I was talking to a BBK manufacturer the other day (your thread and his coincidental stop in at the shop prompted me to speak with him about this) and he said he sees track cars reach over 1000 degree heat at the caliper. I hope the paint lasts (I REALLY do) but maybe something higher temp would be better.

I understand that under track conditions brakes would discolor if the temperature reaches higher than 500 degrees. However if you do hard driving it should hold up just fine. I think if your brakes are going to heat up more than 500 degrees you might have more problems to attend to then the colors

No worries. Alvin's Z will never see the track. It hardly even sees the street. Garage Queen

Actually I'm taking the Z to the Auto-X this year. I am going to pick up a spare bumper for Auto-X Hey at least I'll show up to meets even if it snowed outside

Why do you need a spare bumper for auto-x!? Unless your intent is to run over every cone on a course, you shouldn't need it. The goal in auto-x is to avoid cones, not hit them!

It's going to be my first time. I'm sure I'm going to hit something sometime during the first season - I'm human after all. It's not like you have never hit any cones ever while auto-x'ing especially the first few times doing it. I'd rather NOT have to replace/repaint my Nismo V2 front.

Thanks Chester! I am not reclearing them but I did get a vendor to make me more decals in a metallic silver Stoptech in the front and "B" for Brembo in the back. It'll look sweet but not as sweet as your 6 pot ST setup though plus I'm rolling with OE Brembo rears
