Anybody interested in a NISMO sways only review?
I'm FINALLY getting my NISMO S-Tune, from another vendor no less. The sways arrived today and it'll be another 10 or so days before the suspension lands at my front door. As such, I will not be able to get the suspension installed, do a shakedown and get it aligned before my next event in two weeks.
I'm going to go ahead and install the sways and see how the car feels. If anyone's interested, I'll do a write-up of my impressions after only installing the sways since some members have expressed interest in purchasing the sways alone.

I'm glad you are finally getting your S-tune. I know you have waited a long time.
I decided not to wait or pay the HIGH price and went with the Cusco sways to start with.
Please give us a review and I will do the same for the Cusco's in another thread. I just installed them tonight and now it is raining DAMN IT. What luck. I have an Auto-cross this weekend , with the BMW club no less. I hope it stops raining on Saturday so I can get the feel of the new sways.

I would actually be more interested in springs and sways and dump the shocks for a review. I don't think the shocks will make much difference from stock. Of course, I don't know if this is true or not.
Gruppe-S said that the springs/shocks don't come separately and must be bought together. Unless there is a definite performance reason for this, I think it's a Nismo mark up.
My guess is that the sways will just help with body roll. But, the springs are essential for the bounce or feathering issues. Look forward to your review.

I'm very interested in hearing how the Nismo sways do with the OEM spring/shock package. I look forward to your review. Will you be doing the install yourself? If so, I'd also be interested in hearing about that. Good luck!

It will be interesting to hear someone else's point of view, I thought the steering was much more responsive and crisp, I didn't do a track event without them but following another Z it looked like I was able to take a tighter line through the corners.
I will be putting on Eibachs tomorrow and then doing Sebring again the next weekend and see how it differs.

OK, so the sways are on. I put the rear on this morning and COULD NOT break the goddamned bolts loose on the front brackets no matter what I tried. Guess I need BIGGER breaker bars. Had the front sway bar installed at a local shop this afternoon by a HUGE 350+ pound guy who broke the bolts loose in a matter of seconds. I put about 15 twisty miles on the full set.
IMPRESSIONS: I put several miles on the car with only the rear bar installed looking for a shop that could fit me in today. A LOT of understeer is dialed out by doing this. The Z changed lanes like a slot car and suprised me when doing so because the normal steering input I usually inject into such a manuever was almost too much. It was cool, but you really need the matched set.
After the front sway bar went on, I hit a stretch of road with a BIG, right-hand, slightly uphill sweeper that goes on forever. I go this way every single day and really have a feel for what to expect. I wind the car up all of the way through fourth gear with the throttle pegged and today had to shift into fourth a good 100-125 ft. before my usual visual marker simply because the car wasn't pushing at all like before. The NISMO sways definitely do their job alone and I simply CANNOT wait to get the full kit on. It is going to completely change the way the Z handles.
As Westpak said, steering is much more crisp and input is quicker. Unlike Westpak, I have done a track event in a completely stock Z so the true test will be how badly I wear the outsides of my fronts with the new sways in two weeks. It feels like I have 245s up front now instead of the 225s. Is it a NIGHT and DAY difference? Feel wise, no, but the simple fact that I was running faster then ever before in my favorite sweeper proved that a good chunk of the "push" has been dialed out. I could definitely feel that.
I'd bet those adjustable 350Z EVO bars are going to kick all kinds of ***.

So do you feel that the Nismo Sways took care of the UnderStream problem fully or is there still some that you feel? Because i dont know which ones to buy to fix the undresteer problem...or which ones make have the best positive affect on the car...
..also what camera did you use to take your pics? they looks really good!

Definitely my first mod, thnx for the review. this might be a little off topic, but when you use products that are not nismo, ie eibach struts and springs and have them installed at a local shop it will not void waranty correct? just if say a stock piece that they claim is related broke they could refuse to replace it? Or is it a dealer specific issue? I just wanna make sure i dont effe my entire warranty by goin for a non-nismo part/having my parts installed outside of a nissan dealership.
