I wasn't saying to buy it, I was trying to post a price reference since there wasn't one mentioned in this thread.

^ LOL... Yea I believe StopTech was made out of the same factory as well. At least that's what I was told. I talked to the US distributor about pricing. The rep said she'll email me a list of all pricing. But I never got it yet.. I guess it's the holiday.

Dual caliper? Isn't that disfunctional in some sort of way? More heat while operational?

Hmm.. I disagree. The reason why they make calipers with more number of pistons is to spread out the friction points so the "heating points" are spread out. So by having dual calipers further spreads out the heat and should perform better.

so with 24 pistons I should be able to stop on a dime, right?

You are absolutely correct!! The 12 pistons caliper covers like half of the rotor. Imagine 2 of those would be like one big caliper that wraps around the whole rotor.

StopTech's brakes being made out of that Taiwanese factory is actually what prompted the sons of the owner of that factory to glean ST's R&D, and create Rotora in the first place. I believe there was bad blood after that, so StopTech may have changed manufacturer's since then...

Does anyone else love how the calipers' (and thus, the pads') swept area is actually just a small portion of the rotor? They don't even extend to the innermost row of drilled holes, so actual braking surface is just a little band of like maybe 1.5" along the perimeter of the disc. i.e. not very good braking; and a brake setup "engineered" more for looks than functionality.

Unfortunately, that's also like saying that $4000USD for a Yugo was an amazing deal for a brand new car, but then again, do you even want to pay $4000 for crap? I remember Consumer Reports testing a brand new Yugo, and having the throttle or brake pedal fall off!

^ I totally hear you. The brand is very unknown to the US. But apparently it's a pretty famous brand in Asia especially in Taiwan. It's hard to make a judgment on it's quality and performance since no one on the board is using them. I got to do some research outside of this forum.

$2,300 is basically same price as Stoptech 6 pot 355MM Front BBK.

If your looking for inexpensive BBK and its not a well known brand look into VTTR.

Lots of the GTR guys are into it from what I been reading.

It is an interesting design, but more parts, more things to go wrong, more weight.
Will this screw up the bias at all, or are these very small calipers?
