Default KSPORT Coilovers

Just finished installing Ksport Coilovers on my car.
Project kics wheel spacers with studs. 20mmF/25mmR
Rear Camber arm

I bought the Ksports from Intense through my350z.com. he gave me a great price shipped.

So far i love them, they are not as stiff as i read they would be. its set semi soft right now and its actually nice for daily driving. I plan on beefing it up for drift events.

  • Ksport spring rate are all set in relation to the shock. They cant be compared to other brands as their shocks are designed different. Springs are available as individual pieces if a stiffer or softer ride is needed.

Mike has them on his Z here and he's been really happy with them. I've ridden in the car quite a bit and they're a very nice setup. Can't beat them for the money.

I believe the spring rates are approx 840fr and 500rr but it doesn't ride as hard as those numbers would lead you to believe.

WHat is the max drop you can go with these...I heard from another member 3.5in front and 2.5in rear. THat seems to be a crazy drop if thats the case. Can you cut out all wheel well in the front and rear with these??

i Believe that...there was a lot more adjustment still when in installed mine...my first try was way too low for my liking and there was still more room to go lower....

I called Ksport and they were NO help they said the average drop for cars is 0-4 inches and couldnt give me the specifics on the Z!! I heard that it was 3.5 inch drop max for the front and 2.5 for the rear....

I am looking for 1.5 for the front and 2.0 for the rear....Roughly.

I want a drop like Rickdoggs Z, mine is the blue one it just needs to be knocked down a notch and it will be perfect for me!!

We have installed these K Sport coilovers on a Z before. Not a big fan of them personally. They seem to lack adjustability, the rear shocks do not seem to adjust short enough (for lowering), and the fronts bottom out pretty easy when a moderate drop is on the car. They seem to have a very soft, low speed dampening rate.
On a positive note, they do have a descent plush (kinda soft) ride.

If you are after a coilover that you want a plush ride with, do not want to go very low with, and don't want to pay alot for, then they might suit you just fine.

hey. your car looks nice with this drop. I just bought these coilovers for myself. I have a question for you: with these coilovers do you have to put the springs in the oem spot in the rear? or do you just take out the oem spring in the rear and slap on the shock/spring? can someone please shed some light on this for me. cuz the ksport springs for the rear look super small. help will be greatly appreciated.

These are my least favorite coilover that we / I have tried to date (well over 17 sets now). Even givin the cheap price, I can recomend much better coilovers than these that are still in the same price range.

well i own some Ksports on my 240 and at first i was happy with them...

but now:
there are bouncy as ***
a pain in the *** to adjust have to turn like 1 million times

idk im hoping to move on to better over the summer, my main reason for buying them was B/c every head 240 guys swears against them and that they blow super easy........

but for teh 700 bucks i paid for them they are decent....i think they are a good start coilover....my spring rates seem more stiff, which i would guess means they are more track oriented than street.
