Default Bouncy Stock Syspension??

Hey everyone.
I'm test driving an '06 touring for the weekend (my neighbor is the sales manager at the local dealer). anyway...is the stock supsension usually pretty "bouncy." I didn't expect it to be this much. on my old car, i modified the suspension and it wasn't this bouncy. the only thing i could think of is that the springs were upgraded...but it was used as a corporate fleet lease car, so i doubt the prings were changed. is there a way to verify if it's stock suspension??

new car = new rubber in the suspension unit pieces. The tq settings for the bolts that hold everything on, have a 10lb variable; for EX: 38 - 48ft/lbs.

Honestly I'd have all the tq settings on the suspension parts checked and lubed at the dealer.

I would say no correlation, b/c the current Zs do not have any electronic system engaging the struts/shocks; strictly mechanical.

My vote is impropper Tq settings on the suspension parts, and the fact that the suspension rubber is new.

solution: grease and propper tw settings.

Over the last 2 years of so, a few 2006 owners have posted that they felt their 2006 350Z did have "bounce", only 2-4 comments come to mind, a drop of mist in the bucket compaired to 2003/2004 owner comments on the same subject. I have driven a 2006 Z myself, can't say I feel it has "bounce". However, I didn't drive on the same road that you did if you know what I mean.

That being said, it is possible that the previous owner might have had a different suspension that they were running and then decided to trade the car in. If that owner had sold off their 2006 oem suspension and repurchased a 03/04 oem suspension and installed that prior to trade in, it would instantly explain your ride and drive experience. To verify if the 2006 Z you drove has it's oem shocks, here are the part numbers to look for on the shocks.

front part number: 2006 350z
WL: 56111 CF 40B
WR: 56110 CF 40B

rear part numbers:2006 350z (hmm rears should be the same numbers, not understanding that)
L: 56211 CF 40B
R: 56210 CF 40B

You can also verify the springs as well
front springs are color coded 1 pink & orange dot.
rear springs are color coded 1 red dot and 1 light purple dot

03's def have a bounce to them. My 03 Track was terrible. Replaced the shocks with Konis and it was alot better. My 07 Nismo Z has a better ride/handling than my modded Track.
