You'd have to know the piston sizes (and therefore piston area) along with rotor size in order to come to any conclusions about the brake bias. Just looking at the piston number won't help you. Otherwise you'd never be able to run a Stoptech 4 or 6 piston setup without upgrading the rear. Or what about the people running Rotora 12 piston fronts?

ugh...completely unbased generalization without know anything details about the actual pads, brake balance, and overall piston surface area.

EK - that's a gorgeous setup. Hope it sees some track duty.

I'm aware of the piston sizes on these calipers and how they compare to stock brembos, a well known company's BBK setup for our cars, as well as the respective rotor diameters.

I'm hoping to get to a track once or twice a year. Already had the SS lines and Motul brake fluid.

Both the front and rears also have titanium backing plates installed. 1mm for the fronts, and 0.5mm for the rears.

I based my opinion on the fact that the setup is not offered as a package out of the box.
That said, surely anyone can make anything work with a little effort

I've finally taken some decent photos of my setup - which will get posted tomorrow.

The setup is fresh nonetheless.

Tell me more about how you fabbed the brackets....

Just had to do alot of measurements, and then check, double check, and triple check. I designed the brackets with the emachineshop.com software. Made three mockups using lifesized printouts with photopaper. Material is T6061 aluminum

Main challenge was giving enough clearance to not hit the top part of the knuckle, while still leaving enough material to make the bracket structurally sound.

That's well done. Ultimately how much did the cnc work cost?

Total on the setup? I am interested in a comp as I did some similar work
(think Green Goblin) on the below... It took a while as he did all of the
design - which I am grateful for as I would have never personally had
the wherewithall to accomplish this.

That said - It should stop well

Mine stops a bit faster than stock (r35).

I have a build thread in the exterior interior section that list all exterior mods and shows progress of build. As for the engine that is what I will be attacking next. I was given a procharger so I might work with that, or sell it and go built motor and run the GTM tt kit. Not sure yet, it all depends wether or not I stay in Hawaii or move to San Antonio.....

you went from "hot" to "not as hot" imo.. lol i think i just don't like the ssr's very much to say advan rs's or ce28's if you wanted to go 18's. but still the gtr's brembos are nice.

again, aggro fit in 18" wheel requires a very unique design. suffice it to say i
don't intend to keep them matte black forever. i also got a stunning deal on
them.

oh and skirts are c-west 2 poster.

CNC work $330 for the brackets shipped. Took me about 6 hours here and there designing them.

Calipers $1750 picked up new from a shop in Socal.

Rotors $650, I had these from my previous setup. Two piece floating. One reason why I stuck with them was because they're only 14.5 lbs per side.

SS lines were $140 I think, front and rear.

So total is about $2900. At least you have some adjustability with the spacing of the height and depth with radial mount calipers. I had make brackets for OEM brembos prior to this, and it's much harder with those.

I had originally planned to adjust the caliper positioning if need be with some stainless steel 0.5mm shims, but turns out that I didn't need any shims at all.

again very well done. the caliper is beast.

i am particularly excited about upgrading my rotors and pads -
to ams/hawk combo and eventually doing a distance test.
