If you guys could chime in, what size is the rear axle nut?

Don't you need the pitch as well as the diameter? It could be 32x1.5 or 32x2.

^ ya true if he is looking for replacing it...thats rare, as it takes some serious boo boo to screw those threads up...he probably just needs to know what huge socket to buy which coorelates to 36mm HEX on that nut.

The thread would more so be something like M24x1.5 with a 36mm hex.

36 is not the diameter here..
