Default Please Help.....Car Sways Left/Right when driving...

hey guys, i was in an accident in which i was hit from the rear, which destroyed my rear left side suspension. the front wheel hit a small curb but nothing serious up front ( i think/thought) the shop repaired everything and had the car align'd. but now when i drive on the freeway, the car doesnot feel like i have total control over it. the steering wheel does not shake at all but with the wheel straight the car feels like it moves with the road. If i go over bumps, or uneven pavement it follows the pattern or sways out. can anyone give me an idea of what they think is wrong, so i can have an idea of what it could be, before i take it back to the isurance companys shop.

Different tires.
Different tire pressure.
Alignment.
Could be anything.

the front tires are the same from before the accident, one rear is brand new. i can feel the difference in steering right away. would diff in the back tires have anything to do with that ?

just take it back and describe what you just did. it sounds like an alignment problem... like too much camber or toe, which can cause tracking (following ruts and whatnot)

anything when you are braking? wheel turn to right or left?

take it back.

I would bet your toe is out of adjustment. This will cause your description regardless if front or rear.

I had the same problem... Until I adjusted my toe back into spec.

I bet a dollar the body shop didn't align the car.

thanks again guys, i just got back from the shop, they showed me the wheel alignment specs, and said that one of the bolts in the rear wont let the toe into specs, i need to replace the bolt, they said that my issue is prob from the new tire, does anyone believe that the brand new tire would cause it to behave this way, and would the toe in the rear also make the car fell weird when taking corners. thanks.

i hav a print out of the alignment, does anyone know the numbers on an 03 specs, or what i should compare there numbers to?

Mine is doing this now. It wasn't before alignment, but now it is. I have the Ichiba Rear Camber with Toe bolt I believe, and they said they couldn't get toe back to spec. I had it aligned a few months ago from the same shop and they got it perfect, why did this change. All I did was go from my stock wheels to some new ones.
