Default Installing spacers!!

Well like the title says i just received my eibach spacers and went to install them and noticed that there is another bolt interfering from the spacer being flush?
Heres a picture copied it from the DIY section.

Its to prevent you from accidentally putting the OEM rear wheels in the front. Look inside the OEM rear wheel and you will see.

Everything serves a purpose!
But for what your doing you can loose the bolt and do no harm just make sure you have the fronts up front and the rears out back and you'll be fine!

Cheers

That bolt hole is a convenience in the future if your rotor siezes to the hub. A longer bolt installed and tightened will force the rotor off the hub.

Point being......Toss it, but force a little grease in there to protect the threads

Is that bolt only on the front assemblies? Or also on the rear? I got Eibach spacers too, so I'd like to know before I start installing.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I've yet to unmount the rears, so I wasn't sure. Thanks. =)

I never thought about that technique. I just banged on the rotor with a big hammer.

I wish ALL rotors and drums had them , some of the earlier Detroits did and its common in couplers etc in Heavy Equip.
