Default Need some help

I have never been a suspension guru, but I have been reading around a bit.
So anyway heres the deal, I want to lower my car 1 inch. I want to keep the entire setup below 1 grand. I can not decide between a (spring and shock setup) or a (coilover setup). The only coilover's I have seen below a grand are the "BC racing" coilover's. So my question is wht should I do

Pic of current setup, if anyone is interested.....
P.S: I was looking into the gf210 springs but did not purchase them b/c I did not want to lower the car on stock shocks(and have them wear out very fast)
