Swapping Brakes
I'm going to be swapping my stock brake set up soon. Nothing major just drilled/slotted rotors - Hawk Pads. I was looking to paint the calipers. I've done research on the G2 Caliper Paint which people have been impressed with. My question is, is it worth purchasing that if your going black? $40 is steep to me for paint. I was just going to paint the stock non brembo calipers black with maybe a sliver 350z JVD graphic on the fronts only. I was just curious if common heat resistant spray paint with clear coat would get it done, or should i go the G2 route even know it's black and not being painted to stand out? I'm prepared to be flamed
, thanks in advance for the replies.
Go to Auto Zone or Advanced Auto and buy their brake caliper paint kit for less than $10. Don't use spray paint -- use brush paint on your calipers. And you don't need a clear coat either.
