Default Rear Brake Pad..

I'll be attempting to change my rear pads this weekend. The fronts I found a DIY and seems simple. Will the rear be as straight forward or will there be something different about it?

Thanks!

i have non-brembos. i was told that the rear you need a tool that the dealership has to push the piston back to put the new pad in. can anyone confirm this or can i just use a C clamp like the fronts?

Use a C-clamp.

If you use a C-Clamp (or the dealer tool) BE SURE TO TAKE THE CAP OFF of your brake booster!!! You're forcing pressure into closed lines.

it was a success, the rears was a little tricky though but just as easy had to use a wrench instead of a socket for one of the nuts that holds the caliper on. after that piece of cake, the hawks eliminated that initial bite that the oem did but it definitely stops faster and i haven't driven it enough to see if brake dust was reduced. i'm a happy camper so far!

HP+ or HPS? I found the HPS to be a bit weak when compared to OEM pads

i got the HPS. weak i wouldn't say but the initial bite you get with the oem is gone. i never liked it with my experience with it. you barely tap the brakes and it jerks. the HPS is a lot smoother and seems to stop faster then oem for me
