Buddy Club coilover vs. D2 vs. Ksport
Buying some new coilovers, buddy club has the 4 shocks with seperate rear springs where D2 and Ksport are one piece.
I've seached and they all 3 have mixed reviews. Any opinions on what to order and what the biggest difference is between the 2 piece rear and 1 piece rear?

D2's are actually made extremely well. "Made In Taiwan" doesn't mean what it used to mean 20 years ago. They now have machining capabilities on par with anyone else. The issue with D2 and likely KSport is that they didn't do their research. The stock shock bodies do not allow you to lower your car. At the lowest setting they are at stock height. I had to send them shock body legnths which I guestimated using my car as the test bed. They then machined me the pieces in the correct legnths. I don't know if they corrected the shock bodies or not for the new kits. But for the money they are not bad if you get the ones of correct legnth.
As you can see in the pic below... what they sent me is what I am holding, and what I had them custom make me is what is installed. As yo ucan see at the height my car is sitting at wouldn't be possible with the stock shock body.
You might want to look into Stance coilovers with a true coilover in the rear like I have. If you get the true coilover you can buy Battle Version rear lower control arms and camber arms and adjust toe and camber from the points where they were intended to be adjusted from and they can be adjusted very precisely vs. the stock camber and toe bolts. The Battle Version arms also come with spherical rod ends which eliminates the rubber bushings so there is no deflection and camber toe settings won't change as the bushings load up.

Buddy Club racing products are generally of very high standard. They are also priced accordingly.
So I don't really understand why people are looking down on them because they aren't as well known.
I have read many articles and know of people who use the Buddy Club Race-Spec Dampers and were extremely impressed. This included the editor of a popular car magazine over here who installed an extensive amount of Buddy Club products.
