Default Who is running gt specs bars on there car

I was thinking about getting the front/rear/lateral bars from gt spec and read something that the lateral bar will not fit single exhaust. Is this true. Also who is running these bars and do you guys like them and think they are worth the money.

i'm running the front and the rear gtspec bars on my car, couldnt do the lateral bar b/c i have a nismo exhaust and it doesnt clear it. the bars are a good item when you auto x and even for daily driving. i also have cusco sway bars and endlink so my setup all comes into play. i didnt get the ladder bar yet b/c i'm still using the stock mbrace. so hopefully this helps you make your decision

The fender braces are def worth the $$$ the rear brace fit my APS 3" dual so I don't see why it shouldn't fit your ride??

I have all the GTSPEC underbody braces, to include the mid-chassis ladder brace. I also have the Tanabe underbrace. And yes, my Z is stiff as heck, which works well for autocross and the track.

How can you tell the difference with the fender braces? Is there less body flex up front? I've been hesitating on getting these braces until I've seen more reviews.

I hate to say.. but the OP's question has been asked many times.. I know the search feature is acting crappy lately.. but you could browse a few pages back, and se your Q possed.

You will love the GT-Spec braces. We all do!

I'm running the front/rear/lateral bars you mentioned. It won't work with stock or other single exhausts. Only true duals like the Invidia, HKS, etc...

I have every GTSpec brace but the front tie brace. The front tie brace won't fit w/ oversized oil pans. The rear lateral brace only works with certain exhausts.

Doesn't Tanabe offer two under braces? (Need to research!) Have any pics of both GTSpec & Tanabe installed?

yes it's true. The current rear Lateral Brace (the one with the bend), shown here:

only fits some true dual exhausts

the rear lower arm ba, shown here:

works with most aftermarket single exhausts, though some have clearance issues (some cars with stock exhaust can rub - we had this happen on Kwame's car and removed the brace as a result). I however have had it on my car for years with a Fujitsubo exhaust and there was no clearance issues at all)

The front lower arm bar fits stock oil pans, and I believe the Greddy pan, as it's wider than it is deep. We have the new version that was designed around bigger oil pans ready to test fit just have not had any chance to try it yet (I have the ARC pan on my car so if it fits that, it should fit others like PE and APS too)

Any questions let us know

unless the modded something to make it work its impossible - there is no way for the rear lateral brace to clear a stock exhaust

I'm not aware Tanabe has another underbrace for the 350Z. I don't have any pics of mine but there's a thread in this sub-forum with some pics of both braces installed.

I have the rear tie brace and fender braces, they work great. Car feels very stiff, overall great improvement on the road.

thanks. I did search and saw a lot of people having clearance issues. Think I'll stick w/ just the GTSpec.

With this brace, can you get rid of the frame support on the car? That picture Adam posted does not show the frame support that some 3'' y-pipe exhausts have clearance issues with.

I will hopefully get to it this week, just been so tied up on stuff..no time to work on the car

I'd expect it to be out within 4 weeks of confirmation of fitment, should be a fast turnaround
