Default WP Pro 8pot Front / 6 Pot rear Brakes, Install and Review.

Hey folks!

MY BBK is finally in country, and being sent to my doorstep as I write this.

I have picked up:

Front 8 piston forged aluminum calipers
360 mm (14 inch) rotors with forged hats.
SS brake lines
1 set of street pads
1 set of race pads

Rear 6 piston forged aluminum calipers
360 mm (14 inch) rotors with forged hats.
SS brake lines
1 set of street pads
1 set of race pads

Here are some shots that my vendor sent me.

I'll update this post with images, from the install and a review of both on track and off track ( hopefully not "off" track HA! )

Sorry. Noob question. Do all BBKs have different size pistons?
I like by-the-way. Nice color.

Look to spend around:

$2850.00 for the fronts and
$2475.00 for the rears.

I'll have to find my invoice for the other set of pads that I got. I think that the vendor that I purchased these thru may offer some discounts on retail.. just not sure how much. PM me for more info on that

What pads are you using?

Depends what setup you're looking at. Some Four piston calipers have 1" pistons and the six-pot calipers come with 1.62/1.12/1.12 pistons on each side. What are the piston sizes for those 8pot and 6pot setup?

I'm willing to bet replacements are a pretty penny. Stout setup though. Keep this updated

These brakes may be made in china or taiwan, but they look really well made. Looking forward to your review.

Is it just the pictures, or will the pads not contact the entire rotor surface?

yea.. I think that the way these were placed on the ground makes it look like that.

No pads installed, so bridge still in the box.

Pretty good. Like I said earlier.. WP Pro has been around longer than allot of the other brands. They OE for a few companies, and they race their product.
I think these will take the punishment I plan to give them. You'll know if they don't... because I'll post if they don't

Installed them this weekend, but the roads were wet, so I could not bed them in.. perhaps I can get the car out on the road sometime this week, once the weather relents.

Here are a few 'teaser' install pictures. I'll post a DIY in this thread tonight if I can..

stock front vs WP.

8pot color and seat color

Front assembled:

Rear assembled with wheel set on studs.

Front bridge, street pads in:
